Mighty Jets Feeders have secured a place in the semi-finals of the Plateau State Federation Cup following a narrow 1–0 victory over Rayfield Athletics in their quarter-final clash.
The match was tightly contested from the start, with both sides showing caution in the opening half.
Clear scoring opportunities were few, as neither team was able to find a breakthrough before the break.
After a goalless first half, the game was eventually decided in the second period when Kums Zachariah scored the only goal of the encounter.
His strike proved decisive in a match that remained evenly balanced for long spells.
Rayfield Athletics pushed forward in search of an equaliser after going behind, but Mighty Jets Feeders remained disciplined defensively and managed the game effectively to preserve their lead until the final whistle.
With the victory, Mighty Jets Feeders advance into the semi-final stage of the competition and continue their quest for the Plateau State Federation Cup title.
The quarter-final stage continues on Thursday at the Jos New Stadium, where Austine Amutu will face Plateau United U19 in another encounter.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 2:00pm, with both sides aiming to secure a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
