Plateau State And Federal Government Deepen Partnership to Boost Trade and Industrial Growth Under AfCFTA

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has held a strategic meeting with the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, to strengthen collaboration between the Federal Government and Plateau State on trade, industrial development, and enterprise growth under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The meeting focused on advancing a partnership aimed at enhancing Plateau State’s competitiveness, expanding trade opportunities, and promoting enterprise development through targeted policies and strategic investments.

Discussions also centred on practical ways to harness Plateau State’s rich agricultural, mineral, and human resources to drive value addition, encourage innovation, empower local producers and businesses, and position the state to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by AfCFTA.

The partnership underscores the shared commitment of both governments to building a resilient, competitive, and export-oriented economy capable of creating jobs, attracting investment, and fostering sustainable economic growth for the people of Plateau State.
