Mighty Jets Feeders secured promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL) in spectacular fashion after thrashing Flight FC 8-3 in their final Group match of the NLO North Central Promotion Playoffs in Lafia.
After opening their campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Bida Lions before edging La-Planet FC 1-0, the Jos-based side entered the final match knowing they needed a four-goal victory to stand any chance of finishing top of the group.
They responded in remarkable style.
Silas Gungpolat gave Mighty Jets the perfect start, opening the scoring just three minutes into the contest after finishing off a well-worked team move.
Jets continued to dominate and created several clear-cut opportunities through Ibedu Tochukwu, Dauda Yakubu and Paul Moses, while Silas also struck the post as Flight FC struggled to contain the relentless pressure.
Despite Flight FC equalising against the run of play through a swift counterattack, Mighty Jets quickly regained control. Ibedu Tochukwu restored the lead after capitalising on a goalkeeping error before adding his second of the afternoon to make it 3-1.
Paul Moses then took centre stage, producing two outstanding solo goals before half-time to send Mighty Jets into the break with a commanding 5-2 lead.

The scoreline could have been even more convincing before the interval, but two Mighty Jets goals were ruled out for offside.
Needing one more goal to secure the required winning margin, Mighty Jets wasted little time after the restart as Prince Gobum finished brilliantly to make it 6-2 before adding another moments later after dribbling past defenders and the goalkeeper to score.
Joel Yilkang later joined the scoresheet with a superbly worked free-kick routine to make it 8-2, while Flight FC added a late consolation before Prince Gobum was shown a red card in the closing stages.
The emphatic 8-3 victory saw Mighty Jets Feeders finish top of the group on goal difference, sealing promotion to the Nigeria National League and completing a remarkable turnaround after their opening-day defeat.
