Zang Global Champions Homegrown Innovation at Product Launch and Exhibition in Jos

The city of Jos buzzed with excitement as Zang Global Innovations officially launched its Product Exhibition and Made-in-Nigeria Technology Showcase at the Using Event Centre a milestone moment celebrating local innovation and entrepreneurship in Plateau State.

The event brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, government representatives, and tech enthusiasts from across Nigeria for an evening of inspiration, networking, and commitment to building a tech-driven future powered by homegrown solutions.

In his emotional address, Mr. Zang Luka, CEO of Zang Global, expressed deep gratitude to his parents, mentors, pastor, and partners for their support throughout his entrepreneurial journey. He shared how a failed early invention a “drink recorder” device became the seed that grew into today’s thriving innovation company.

“We started in a small workspace with limited tools but unlimited faith,” Luka said. “Today, we are proudly launching Made-in-Nigeria USB cables and mobile phone chargers built with local innovation, local talent, and global standards.”

Beyond product manufacturing, Luka emphasized that Zang Global’s Vision 2029 aims to create 15,000 jobs across Africa by training young people and displaced persons in electronic waste recycling and renewable energy.

“Every cable we produce, every product we recycle, and every young person we train brings us closer to our Vision 2029,” he affirmed.

He also commended Amahoro Foundation for its steadfast partnership in training, mentorship, and resource support.

“We’re building more than a brand we’re building a movement. A movement that champions innovation made in Africa, powered by purpose, and driven by people,” Luka declared.

Delivering the keynote speech, Mr. Ezekiel Gomos, Founder/CEO of The Jos Business School, highlighted the critical role of innovation and collaboration in national development.

He praised Plateau State’s record of excellence winning national innovation competitions five times between 2016 and 2022 and urged young innovators to stay focused and strategic.

He shared three key lessons:
1. Build Solutions to Local Problems “Every problem is a business opportunity waiting to be solved.”
2. Protect Your Innovation “Register your business and secure your intellectual property.”
3. Seek Support and Partnerships “No one builds anything great alone.”

Leaders from various sectors pledged their support for Zang Global’s vision:
• Hon. Samuel Gwot, GM of Plateau Express Services, commended the initiative and pledged to purchase products worth ₦1,200,000, urging others to support local innovation.
• Mercy Kusiwaa Frimpong, Strategy Custodian (Communications) at Amahoro Coalition, described the partnership as “a symbol of innovation and hope.”
• Koppe Sylvanus, CEO of Aplus Computers, pledged ₦500,000, training resources, internet access, and workspace to strengthen Vision 2029.
• Samuel Opkosio, CEO of Simplicity Group, also pledged ₦500,000, praising the products as “world-class and worthy of global recognition.”

The event featured captivating performances by Arin, Dexdee, and traditional dancers, alongside a live product showcase that allowed guests to experience the efficiency, durability, and craftsmanship of Zang Global’s USB cables and mobile chargers. Attendees left inspired and proud of the innovation emerging from Jos.

The Zang Global Product Launch and Exhibition was more than just an event it was a declaration that Nigeria, and particularly Plateau State, can produce world-class technology built on local talent, vision, and resilience.

As the night concluded, one message echoed powerfully:

“The future of African innovation is here and it’s Made in Nigeria.”
