In a profound demonstration of love, compassion, and firm commitment to purposeful leadership, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on Thursday celebrated the 2025 Christmas season with his people at Ampang West in Mangu Local Government Area.

The Governor joined worshippers at a combined Christmas service held at the Primary School in Ampang West, where a large congregation gathered in thanksgiving for the birth of Jesus Christ. The atmosphere was marked by soul-lifting hymns, prayers, and reflections on the true essence of Christmas.

Addressing the congregation, Governor Mutfwang described the people of the area as patriotic, resilient, and loving. He urged them to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Lord and Saviour, in the true spirit of love, unity, sacrifice, and gratitude, noting that Christmas remains a season that calls humanity back to God and to one another.

The Governor emphasized the importance of fellowship and togetherness, stating that Christmas provides a unique opportunity for people to come together under the banner of love and shared humanity. He expressed profound appreciation to the people for their steadfast support of his administration and their collective commitment to peace and unity in Plateau State.

Governor Mutfwang also commiserated with families who have lost loved ones in various unfortunate circumstances, praying that God grants them comfort, strength, and healing. He reminded the people not to lose sight of the true essence of Christmas, calling on them to continue supporting his administration as it works tirelessly towards the peace, progress, and prosperity of Plateau State.
He further appealed for fervent prayers for lasting peace in Plateau State and Nigeria at large, stressing that peace remains the foundation for sustainable development and national cohesion.

The Guest Preacher, Rev. David Pofi, who took his Bible reading from Luke 2:10–17, delivered a sermon titled “Beyond the Celebration: Don’t Forget the Purpose of Christmas.” He admonished Christians to uphold the sacred meaning of the season, warning that indulgence in acts contrary to God’s will under the guise of celebration undermines the essence of Christ’s birth.
Rev. Pofi further charged parents to raise their children in the ways of the Lord, assuring them that a godly upbringing would serve as a moral compass that guides children throughout their lives.

Speaking on behalf of the Mishkagham Mwaghavul, His Royal Highness, Da. John Putmang Hirse, the District Head of Mangun, Da. Job Ali Dapal, expressed profound gratitude to God for using Governor Mutfwang as an instrument of positive transformation in Plateau State.
He noted that rural communities across the state are currently witnessing massive road construction, which has significantly enhanced agricultural activities, improved access to markets, and uplifted the livelihoods of the people.

Da. Dapal called on all stakeholders to continue supporting the administration of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, describing him as a compassionate, listening, and people-oriented leader who responds to the cries of the vulnerable and the downtrodden. He added that Plateau State has found in Governor Mutfwang a leader genuinely committed to the welfare of all. The Governor had earlier fellowship with the COCIN LCC Mangu Central and COCIN LCC Panyam.

The Governor was accompanied by Member Representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency, Hon. Ishaya Lalu, Member representing Mangu South in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon.
