Plateau State Government Celebrates Educational and Global Scholarship Milestone as Apostle Joshua Selman Commissions Christ College of Theology and Education in Langtang North

Langtang North, Plateau State – The educational landscape of Plateau State has recorded another milestone with the commissioning of the Christ College of Theology and Education in Langtang North Local Government Area.

The Plateau State Government has expressed profound appreciation for the visionary efforts of Rev. Selchang Miner, whose initiative to establish the faith-based institution marks a significant investment in moral and spiritual education. The project is expected to shape lives, deepen ethical values, and foster spiritual growth within and beyond the community.

The commissioning ceremony was graced by Apostle Joshua Selman, renowned Nigerian Christian minister, televangelist, and founder of Eternity Network International (ENI), popularly known as Koinonia. Apostle Selman’s global ministry has impacted millions through teachings on spiritual growth, the Holy Spirit, and the principles of God’s Kingdom. His presence was both symbolic and affirming of the role faith-based institutions play in driving community development.

This development aligns with the administration of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, which is vigorously pursuing excellence in the education sector. In a related stride toward academic advancement, the Plateau State Government recently signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Liberty University, USA. This partnership aims to create broader academic opportunities for Plateau youth, with the first beneficiaries Sunday G. Joseph and Nansar Clement Jangfa awarded postgraduate scholarships to study for Master’s degrees in engineering at the prestigious institution.

Speaking on behalf of the state government, Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc Samuel Nanchang Jatau, alongside the Commissioner of Works, Hon. Joshua Ubandoma Laven, lauded the milestone. Traditional leaders, including the Long Gamai of the Gamai Nation, Miskoom Martins Shaldas III, also commended the initiative as a step toward sustainable development through academic empowerment.

The commissioning of Christ College stands as a testament to the synergy between faith, education, and governance in shaping the future of Plateau State.
