The Jos Food Festival 2025 (Owambe Edition), was held on Saturday, July 26th at Tamarald Event Centre, Jos. It was a fun and colorful event that brought people together to enjoy food, music, fashion, and culture.

The venue was filled with the smell of delicious food from different tribes and cultures. Food vendors came with all kinds of meals from local Plateau dishes to popular Nigerian favorites. There was something tasty for everyone to try.

Guests wore beautiful cultural clothes, adding color and beauty to the festival. There was also a fashion show where models showed off different traditional outfits. People danced, laughed, and enjoyed live music and comedy performances by artists and comedians.

Vendors also sold clothes, crafts, drinks, and more. It was a good chance for small business owners to meet new customers. People came not just to eat and have fun, but also to network and connect.

This year’s event was hosted by Chuuny of Jos and Ajehbor (Cholly), and organized by Chef Elvis. One of the highlights of the day was the clean partying initiative reminding everyone to have fun while keeping the environment clean.
Special appreciation goes to the Plateau State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for their strong support. The government’s efforts in promoting peace, tourism, and cultural development on the Plateau continue to create opportunities for young people, businesses, and creatives to shine. Events like the Jos Food Festival are proof of what’s possible when government and communities work together.
The Jos Food Festival has grown to become one of the city’s most loved events. It brings people together to celebrate food, culture, and unity. If you missed this year’s edition, start getting ready for the next one it only gets better from here!
