Blessing Lar, a young Plateau lady who has for some time been battling kidney failure, has been given a major lifeline following a ₦20 million donation from the governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang to support her kidney transplant.

Social media activist and humanitarian, Mohammad Mohammed Sallahuddeen Junior, popularly known as Juju made the announcement on Friday 19th September 2025 via his social media handles.
Juju has been leading fundraising efforts on behalf of Blessing Lar, whose health condition has for some time drawn widespread attention and sympathy from citizens
Juju posted the new development along with a photo of Blessing on her sickbed, he expressed deep gratitude to the Plateau Governor, Caleb Mutfwang for his timely intervention.

Mohammed Sallahuddeen posted and I quote, “During Plangnan Luka, the Plateau State Government supported us, they came through big time. Now again, for Blessing Lar, the governor of Plateau State Caleb Mutfwang recognized the need to give her a second chance. He understood and heard our plea, he listened to our cries, and he answered. This morning he sent in ₦20,000,000 (Twenty Million Naira) in contribution for the ₦30,000,000 (Thirty Million Naira) needed for the kidney transplant Blessing requires to get back on her feet,”
Juju further described the governor’s gesture as a sign of his unwavering compassion and leadership, adding that it has given renewed hope to Blessing and her supporters.
The donation by Governor Caleb Mutfwang covers a large portion of the ₦30 million that is required for the transplant, leaving only a ₦10 million balance.
Juju is appealing to all well-meaning Nigerians to complement the governor’s contribution to ensure the procedure is successful.
Juju added, “This single act gives us the strength to do more for Blessing. For those who wish to complement this and make this transplant a success, we will be highly honored and grateful,”
Blessing’s health struggle highlights the burden of kidney disease and the very high cost of Kidney transplants in Nigeria, with majority of patients depending solely on public goodwill to access treatment.
Governor Mutfwang’s support has been widely praised online, with many hailing the gesture as an example of responsive leadership.
