The Jos Family Christmas Festival 3.0 is currently lighting up the city with excitement, culture, and family-friendly entertainment as activities continue at the Christmas Village, Airforce Base Roundabout, Jonah Jang Way. The 10-day festival, which officially commenced on December 21, will run through December 31, offering residents and visitors a vibrant blend of cultural showcases, entertainment, and educational activities in line with its theme, “Experience the Magic. Discover the Plateau.”

Speaking during the presentation of certificates and gifts to winners of the Primary and Secondary School Essay Competition, the General Manager of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation, Chuwang Pwajok, praised the students for their creativity, intelligence, and impressive appreciation of Plateau State’s tourism potential. He described the competition as a strategic initiative for nurturing young minds and instilling pride in the state’s rich cultural heritage, natural attractions, and core values.

Pwajok further noted that engaging children through intellectual activities such as essay writing helps promote tourism education from an early age while encouraging critical thinking and responsible citizenship. He commended teachers and parents for their guidance and support, and applauded the organizers of the Jos Family Christmas Festival for sustaining an initiative that effectively blends learning with celebration.

In addition to the essay competition, the festival also featured Little Miss Tourism, a lively DJ and Dance Competition, and an exciting Raffle Draw, which added colour, fun, and excitement to the children’s fun fair segment.

The Jos Family Christmas Festival 3.0 continues to stand out as a hub for cultural promotion, youth development, and family bonding, reinforcing Plateau State’s commitment to tourism growth and community engagement throughout the festive season.
