The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, on Monday joined other members of the committee constituted by the Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) in Kaduna to review the report and recommendations of the Technical Committee established to address the challenges facing the New Nigerian Development Company (NNDC).
The committee is chaired by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, with Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State and Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State as members.
Governor Mutfwang was represented at the meeting by his Deputy, Ngo Josephine Piyo.
Speaking after a closed-door session with the committee members, Governor Zulum said the report presents a strategic roadmap designed to transform the NNDC into a dynamic and responsive 21st-century organization.
He explained that the committee’s mandate is to ensure that the recommendations shaped by comprehensive analysis and forward-looking deliberations will reposition the NNDC in line with contemporary economic realities and best practices.
Governor Zulum reassured the management and staff of the NNDC of the committee’s commitment to reviving the company as a catalyst for the commercial and industrial transformation of Northern Nigeria.
