Highlighting his government’s approach, the Governor explained that the projects are being executed through strategic public-private partnerships. This is to ensure sustainability and reduce reliance on state funds. He revealed that a major section of the Plateau Hotel will be ready for use by December 1, 2025.

At the Plateau Hotel, the investor—Aviare Global Concept Ltd., led by Chairman/CEO Mr. Kudla Satumari—unveiled major features of the revamp.

These include a dual carriage access road, beautifully landscaped surroundings with palm trees, a modern security and control center with CCTV coverage, and a redesigned perimeter fence to enhance safety and visual appeal.

Over at the Hill Station Hotel, Hillside Hospitality Ltd. reported that Phase One of their development is at 45% completion. Current works include the fence and gatehouses, a gym, twin swimming pools, a poolside bar, a laundry café, and related facilities. Construction is also progressing on the main annex, conference halls, and landscape areas. Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works are ongoing. This is alongside the installation of CCTV systems and NESCO power integration. Overall project progress stands at about 50%.

The Hill Station Hotel revival is being led by Project Manager Arc. Okechukwu Izeogu, Lead Supervisor Arch. Racheal Dawurung, and Project Director Oluwadamilola Awoyomi.

Governor Mutfwang praised the teams for their commitment and professionalism. He reaffirmed that his administration remains resolute in restoring Plateau’s hospitality infrastructure. He aims to reestablish the state’s place as a premier tourism destination in Nigeria with Plateau Hotel and Hill Station Hotel.
