The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined Nigerians and well-wishers in congratulating the Nigeria Police Force on the occasion of the 2026 National Police Day. He commended their dedication and prays for renewed vigor and wisdom in tackling internal security challenges.
In a goodwill message, Governor Mutfwang praised the resilience, courage, and unwavering commitment of officers and personnel of the Force in maintaining internal security despite the challenges that confronts their operations.He commended their dedication to upholding public safety and order, even in the face of significant risks.
“I heartily congratulate the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the entire personnel of the Nigeria Police Force on this auspicious occasion. You have continued to uphold the core mandate of the Force maintaining law and order, enforcing the law, preventing and investigating crimes, and protecting lives and property,” the Governor stated.
Governor Mutfwang further expressed the appreciation of the Plateau State Government for the pivotal role the police have played in addressing violent attacks and criminal activities within the state. He noted that their efforts have significantly contributed to strengthening the security framework and sustaining the relative peace currently enjoyed in Plateau State.
“As a government, we deeply appreciate the invaluable contributions of the Police in safeguarding our communities. Their sacrifices and commitment have been instrumental in restoring stability, and they deserve our continued support to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibilities,” he added.
The Governor also highlighted the importance of community policing, noting the Force’s role in fostering trust between citizens and law enforcement, ensuring smooth traffic flow, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with other security agencies to enhance national security.
